Rescue mission of Thai football team from the caves is a pointer to the theme DON’T DO MEDITATION, B
Entire world was captivated by the news stream of rescue mission of “Wild Boars”, the Thai football team of twelve teenage boys and their coach of twenty five years at Tham Luang caves.
It’s a miracle of sorts that all these boys were found after ten days of uncertainty and subsequent rescue operation requiring the services of expert divers and many more common people.
It was amazing to see the images of these boys flashed on social media soon after their discovery by search team.
What was more amazing was the calmness and cheerfulness on those faces!
Now as the details of rescue operation are trickling in, it is clear that the twenty five year old coach Ekapol Chanthawong has played major role in keeping the spirit of the 12 boys intact.
It’s incredible to hold on to hope, will to live, in that dark cave for ten days before their discovery by a search team.
The coach did this by teaching meditation, giving all of his food and water to those twelve boys!
Meditation helped them to move from darkness of the cave to the lime light of the world!
Meditation helped them to choose life in that dangerous, uncharted cave complex.
This episode simply uncovers the myth that meditation has to be learnt and practiced over a long time to get any real benefits. This may be true only if one tries to do meditation.
But learning to be in meditation is easy.
So shift focus from Doing Meditation to Being in meditation!
